Summary of changes to BS 6229

Description

This 16-page document provides an overview of changes following the 2018 revision of BS 6229 (Flat roofs with continuously supported flexible waterproof coverings). The document is split into sections looking at the changes regarding roof build-ups, roof structure and loading, roof falls to achieve drainage, thermal performance, control of condensation, sound attenuation, fire safety, surface protection, rooftop components and installations, workmanship and maintenance requirements, and procedures. It has been written by members of the NFRC Joint Flat Roofing and RBM Technical Committees along with input from NHBC.
